Welcome to my website. Hawksmoor Plastering is a plastering company that specialises in the traditional restoration and preservation of historic plaster finishes.

Internal work includes securing existing historic plaster coats to failing backgrounds, patch repairs and crack filling, replacing rotten and perished laths with new laths and applying new coats of plaster render and finish, removing failed plaster over stonework and applying new coats, applying new coats to exposed areas that were once covered.
External work includes securing existing historic render coats to failing backgrounds, patch repairs, rendering over existing work to preserve layers of historic importance, replacing failed renders with new render coats, re-pointing elevations where original lime pointing has deteriorated or where inappropriate cement based pointing mixes have been used, limewashing directly onto stonework or onto render coats.

Hawksmoor Plastering also has a lot of experience working with contemporary finishes.
Internal work includes flat gypsum finishes on cement based renders, gypsum renders, plasterboards, expanded metal lath and ‘newton’ damp-proof membranes.
External work includes replacing failed cement based render coats, new render coats and re-pointing.
